Gurugram Police now allows traffic challans to be settled using Paytm, UPI, or other online modes. This initiative aims to boost transparency and convenience. DCP Virender Vij mentioned that traffic violators in Gurugram have paid over Rs 31 crore in fines this year. The use of drones for monitoring lane changes was also introduced to enhance traffic regulation. To pay e-challans on Paytm, open the app, select ‘Challan’, and choose ‘Gurugram Police’ as the relevant authority. Enter the required details and opt for UPI payment. This addition is expected to encourage timely settlements and increase transparency.
